Distribution Center Cahill Ministries Food Bank Distribution Center provides food, toiletries and USDA commodities to over 270 participating organizations. These community based organizations, faith based organizations, social service agencies and other entities receive the products from the Food Bank and distribute them. We are an official USDA Food Distribution Center and are also a part of the Florida Food Recovery Program. |
| Participating organizations are
free to utilize the services of the food bank from
7:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Monday - Friday. We utilize an
automated telephone system which notifies our member
organizations of new products and special shipments
within minutes of arrival. We strictly enforce our policy
to equally distribute any limited commodities, to ensure
fairness to all of our current members. The Food Bank solicits donated food and grocery products from the food and grocery industry as well as contributions from other organizations. Growers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers all support the Cahill Ministries Food Bank through their generous donations. These donations consist primarily of surplus food that might otherwise go to waste were it not for the effective distribution channel provided by the Cahill Ministries Food Bank network of partnering agencies. In addition to our focus on meeting the needs of the local Central Florida community, we engage in disaster relief efforts. We assist other organizations in supplying the needs of disaster victims. In support of this priority we have taken the following step: One of our leaders has completed certificate Disaster Response training with Christian Disaster Response, A Member Organization of NOVAD, the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. |
